Workshop on “How to write a Research Paper” Conducted by: Dr. Punita Rao
A workshop on ‘How to write a Research Paper’ was conducted by Dr. Punita Rao on 12th December 2009 for the students of SSE. Dr. Rao elaborated on the concept of a research paper and went on to emphasize its relevance in academics for the students of Economics. She explained different approaches of writing a research paper through a lucid distinction between theory and facts.
The theoretical aspect of her explanation was interspersed with many examples drawn from her vast experience which enabled the students to understand how to overcome common obstacles faced while compiling data. She exhorted the students to cultivate a passion for gaining insights into the current fast changing global order and its impact on our domestic industry and economy. Dr. Rao made the entire workshop very interactive and insightful. Overall, the lecture was highly illuminating and will undoubtedly go a long way in assisting students in their future research projects.
